The sea captain, Richard Phillips, who clashed with Somali pirates and was freed by U.S. Navy snipers is arriving at port in Kenya aboard this American destroyer. The USS Bainbridge was scheduled to arrive yesterday, but diverted to answer a distress call from the U.S. cargo ship Liberty Sun, to rescue the boat and crew after it was attacked by pirates.
